The Intel Math project is aimed at deepening teacher's content knowledge of math skills in order to improve instruction. The work consists of 80 hours of Intel Math training in the summer, and monthly continued learning in Math Learning Community meetings throughout the year. Entering our fourth year of providing professional development in Intel Math, we are able to provide opportunities to a new cohort of 30 teachers, and a continuing PLC for up to 30 teachers going on to facilitate this work in their own and other's districts.
In our first few years of participating in this program, we have worked with over 100 teachers across five districts from both Livingston and Washtenaw Counties.
If you have any questions about Intel Math, contact either Andrea Pisani or Jennifer Banks for instructional and content questions, or JT Sangsland for project management and participation questions.
